Black/Rasp Hybrids

Blackberry/Raspberry Hybrids are very popular. The genus Rubus contains huge opportunities to hybridize. Controlled crosses by breeders have been used to develop hybrid berry cultivars. Many of them have shown good results. Most are hybrids between red raspberry and various blackberry species. Berries get unique raspberry flavor and better size what makes them very desirable to grow. Fruit color is also very attractive: varies from a red wine , reddish-purple color to a black similar to most blackberries. Most of them have very good potential in milder climates. All of our Blackberry/Raspberry Hybrids are tissue cultured. In colder climate we recommend planting them after your last frost date. Please, note shipping date on your order. We ship orders all year. Please, do not use pine shavings or any other acidic mulch for Your hybrids and leave 1 foot mulch free spot around the plant base untill they are rooted in completely!
