Marionberry was released by G.F. Waldo ( USDA-ARS) in Corvallis, Oregon in 1956.Soon it became VERY POPULAR for its SPECIAL FLAVOR and health benefits- HIGHER VITAMIN LEVEL. It is a cross between Chehalem and Olallie (a cross between Loganberry and Youngberry). It still contains of 44% Rubus ursinus ( native to Oregon). It is a thorny very vigorous  TRAILING vine which harvests in July and longer picking season and needs 2 wire trellis. Very valuable for homemade jam, jelly and juice which are popular all over the world. 4 inch Size.
