Wild Treasure is a cross between Rubus Ursinus ( known as a selection of the Western dewberry, the name shows this origin) and Waldo Thornless( Lawrence, 1989) developed in Corvallis, OR in 1998 ( Oregon State University and USDA). The result was outstanding. New variety took exellent flavor and fruit quality( less  noticeable seeds, medium size, uniform shape), very early ripening, flexible canes, and good vigor from wild berry Rubus Ursinus and thornessless and foliar disease tolerance from Waldo.
