Bluejay is a northern highbush. It is very easy to establish. Good for new gardeners! The berries ripen in the early to middle part of the blueberry harvest season. This bush will yield 7 to 10 pounds of berries per year. The size of the berries are medium with a good mild flavor. When the Bluejay matures it will reach a height of 5 to 7 feet, with an upright shape.  One of the best berries for eating, freezing, pies and canning.
