'Latham'  Red Floricane Mid season Raspberry is a very hardy, older cultivar with a very bright red mid to large berries with an exceptional flavor . It is  very well known for its  excellent resistance to Phytophthora root rot. Very productive. The Latham raspberry cultivar has become a standard in mid-bearing garden and pick-your-own operations, because of its vigor, productivity, good firmness, hardiness and flavor. The Latham raspberry plants were first cultivated as a hybrid in 1920 in Minnesota and predictably is very cold hardy, reaching the extreme Northern states requirements for cold Winter temperatures. Recommended for home gardeners and pick-your-own.
