We offer wonderfl plant- Sunshine Blue. Sunshine Blue -this variety is a half-high bush (4' tall) that makes it a perfect container plant. Sunshine Blue is covered in bright pink flowers in spring followed by lots of sweet, juicy dark DELICIOUS blueberries in summer. Its foliage changes into red-orange in fall. Blueberry Sunshine is also easy to grow. It's self-pollinating, hardy all the way from Zone 4 to Zone 10, and it's more tolerant of high pH than most other blueberries. Very productive! My Sunshine Blue blueberry plants arrived on time and were packed really well. They were gently wrapped in plastic and surrounded by packing peanuts, which effectively prevented harm. They came out looking healthy, too.
I kept them on a fairly shady porch the first 2 days, because it is very hot here in southern California close to the Mexican border.
I then transplanted them into larger pots, and relocated them in a sunny area. But I provided partial shade with movable panels, to give them more time to acclimate. They are doing just great! Thank you!
It has only been a few days. I'll try to give a later update.
This is my second season with this little bush. Latest blueberry in my garden. Loaded with sm-med sized berries of ok-good flavor. Makes wonderful edible landscaping plant. I will be moving mine to a large pot and giving it to my elderly mother who would like a little garden in elevated pots.
