Niwot Black Raspberry

 PRIMOCANE BLACK RASPBERRY (PPAF). Introduced by Peter Tallman, a private breeder in Colorado, Niwot will produce berries in the fall, ripening in late August until frost. It will also produce a good floricane crop, ripening slightly earlier than Jewel, depending on location. Niwot is vigorous, highly productive, and has an attractive, shiny berry. The berry size is equal in size to the Jewel, and the flavor is reported to have less intensity than the Jewel. It is a vigorous variety, therefore requiring trellising and recommended spacing is 3-4 feet apart in the row. Propagation prohibited.
