Sweetheart Blueberry

Sweetheart (northern-southern high bush): is a new USDA release- Super Blueberry bush- Two crops: late Spring and Fall. The bushes yield 25% more than Duke or approx. 15 lbs., per bush, per year. Early ripening, superior flavor, very good firmness, and excellent productivity with large fruits, 1.6g (the grandfather of the plant is the Patriot berry). This plant represents a decade of research from the US Department of Agriculture Research, Education, and Economics Agricultural Research Service. This new Blueberry is a cross between Northern and Southern high bushes although the hardiness zone is still questionable. DELICIOUS.

 Zones: 4-9

    Sweetheart Blueberries

Posted by J from Missouri on 21st May 2024

Large healthy plants, strong roots, colorful foliage, and clusters of blueberries already on young plants. I tried one plant last year, and this spring it's covered in berries. I'm convinced that I need a row of the double cropping beauties. Thanks Lidia and team for growing such exceptional plants.
