Twilight Blackberry

We offer one newer delicious blackberry variety! Twilight Floricane Thornless. This is the best distinctive mixture of Eastern and Western blackberry cultivars that have been crossed to create Twilight, a new very Delicious, thornless, semi-erect blackberry variety out of Oregon. IUt originated from a cross between the thornless female blackberry plant ‘Ouachita’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 17,762), one of the best existing blackberries in the plant World, and the Thornless, male parent blackberry plant ‘ORUS 2867-4’ (unpatented). This new blackberry cultivar was chosen for its excellent blackberry jam flavor with hints of honey. It is an early ripening for a semi-erect blackberry, and it produces large, very firm berries with a very good shelf life and a durable, very glossy very dark purple skin! Less bleeding and. Easy to handle. Superior in not only flavor and size compared to Chester and Triple Crown but also vigor. High yields are borne on fully thornless semi-erect canes in mid-season.  Does not need pollinators.
